Zip lining

Today we went zip lining, and it was amazing!

We got there, and while Mama got tickets, Daisy and I sat down on a bench and took turns having a cat curl up and fall asleep in our lap. After we got signed up, we went outside, were the put harnesses on all of us. We had to sit through a demonstration, and then we got to zip line.

The first one was pretty short, but they quickly got longer and faster. You mostly had to grab the line with your glove, but some stopped automatically and those where the scariest. It was pretty much non-stop, until we got to one were you repelled, and then the zip lines got really long. We did two of those, and then we got to a little bus stop, were they came down in an atv-golf cart thing, and they drove us up for about five minutes. A two minute walk from there, and we got to the zip lines that you lay down for. You where strapped in by your back and your feet, and they called it a “Superman” zip line. Unfortunately, you had to be at least a hundred pounds to go on it, so Daisy and I where strapped together, but vertically, like a normal zip line. It was beautiful as we zipped two hundred feet above the canopy, and it was very loud. When we got off of that, we did one more, but this time I had to wrap my legs around her.

We got off of the zip line, and then we did an optional thing called “The Tarzan Swing” we waited in line, and then we clipped onto a rope attached to a bridge that led out to the swing. It was kind of like bungee jumping, except instead of getting yanked up, you swung. It was crazy, because it was like a thirty foot drop, and they pushed you off. Mama and I did it, but Daisy got scared at the last second and didn’t. Overall, zip lining was amazing!

  1. Haha! I thought you were about to say:
“Unfortunately, you had to be at least a hundred pounds to go on it, so Daisy and I”
“had to sit this one out” ;-P
